Supporting NewsUK in their ambition to become ‘AI fuelled’. Delivering AI products via the Innovation Team, and establishing a strategy which makes AI an effective and valuable part of day-to-day work, enabling continual improvement.

Following acceptance to the University of Oxford Diploma in AI for Business 2024/25, DSKY director Greg Clark was approached by the NewsUK Innovation team to be part of their AI delivery drive in 2024.

A broad remit, and a role which requires both delivery focus as well as an overarching approach to the business AI strategy.

Initial work involved taking ownership of the Innovation Team programme management and delivery methodology. It included the identification of pain points in the current process, with a focus on quick wins which could improve efficiencies and project management overnight.

Our work is only just getting started, but to date has involved engagements with teams throughout the business including Data, Content Platforms, The Sun, News Broadcast, The Times and Times Travel.

From AI initiatives designed for specific team workflows, to strategic input into the AI process and ways of working – DSKY is helping ensure NewsUK is AI fuelled and ahead of the curve.
